- If an item is not on sale at Publix don't buy it there!!! It will be much cheaper somewhere else. This goes for meat and produce prices too
- Publix doubles manufacturer coupons that are $0.50 or less including internet printable
- If a coupon states “do not double” but the barcode starts with a 5 it will still double
- Publix does not accept expired coupons
- Publix accepts one manufacturer AND one store OR one competitor coupon per item unless prohibited by the coupon
- Store and competitor coupons do not double
- Each store chooses who they consider a competitor--a competitor is defined as a “traditional” local grocery store--must have a produce and meat department, a bakery and a deli
- Publix does not get reimbursed for competitor coupons--use them judiciously
- Publix will accept competitor $/$$ coupons--use one every time for even more savings!
- You can also use a Publix $/$$ at the same time!
- If a coupon (or stacked coupons) are worth more than the item purchased you will get the overage applied to the rest of your cart and the sales tax. Publix will not give you money back! Try to purchase items that give you overage each trip to lower your out if pocket costs
- There is no limit to the number of coupons you can use
- If your coupons total more than $50 or you have more coupons than items yourtransaction will need manager approval (not a big deal--it just requires them to enter a code)
- You can use two coupons for BOGO sales (one per item). You do not have to purchase two items--each item will ring up half price
- A BOGO sale and a BOGO coupon do NOT make both items free since each item rings up half price
- Seniors get a 5% discount on Wednesdays
- Publix has a penny item on Wednesdays. This is a store brand item you can purchase for$0.01 with an additional $10 (before coupon) purchase. The coupon is required and is found in the Wednesday newspaper
- Give the cashier the $/$$ coupon first, then manufacturer's coupons, then store and competitor coupons. If you have a coupon for a free or BOGO item, they appreciate it if you give it to them as they are scanning the item (or they'll have to look the price up at the end which takes more time)
- Publix pharmacy will accept competitor coupons for gift cards with prescription transfers-- one per day, not prescription
- There is a limit on the number of like items you can buy in a single visit. Each store has their own set number. If an item is on sale 10 for $10 (or another specified quantity) you can buy 10 (or 8 or whatever...usually keep it under 10 like items per visit)
- Limit one coupon per purchase = limit one coupon per item purchased (not one coupon per transaction)

- Publix Upromise Program is a card you scan at the register with your purchase. Participating brands will deposit money into your Upromise account with your purchases!
- You can use one store and one manufacturer or ecoupon coupon per item.
- Kroger will double coupons $0.50 or less when a Kroger Plus Card is used.
- They do accept internet coupons as long as they scan
- They do not accept coupons for more than 75% of the coupons value (they view these as fraudulent--we know better)
- Kroger will not accept internet printable coupons for free or buy one get one free products
- Kroger reserves the right to limit the quantity of coupons used by a customer in a transaction, by customer or by day. Acceptance of all manufacturer’s coupons is up to the manager’s discretion
- BOGO items should ring up half price. You do not have to buy two to get that half price
- You do not have to buy 10 items in a 10 for $10.00 sale
- You do have to purchase a specific number of items for their mega sales: these sales are usually purchase 10 participating items and receive $3.00 or 5.00 off your order. Double check that you have the correct number of items before you check out!
- Rain checks expire after 30 days.
- Kroger has a loyalty card called a "Plus Card."
- The majority of their savings are only available when you use it.
- Register your card online and they will send you coupons in the mail!
- It took me about 4 months after registering before I actually received any coupons.
- The coupons you receive are based on your spending--the more you shop there, the more coupons you'll receive.
- Make sure to use your own card (they will print catalinas catered to your purchases)
- Also, by registering, your card can be looked up by your phone number if you forget it.
- Kroger accepts ecoupons--coupons loaded onto your Plus card that come off automatically at the register (another reason to use your own card).
- These CANNOT be used in conjunction with a manufacturer’s coupon.
- If there is an ecoupon it will come off your card first, before any other manufacturer coupons are applied.
- Ecoupons do not double, so if you have a manufacturer’s coupon under $0.50, it is usually better to use it instead.
- There are ecoupons available at cellfire.com, shortcuts.com, pgesaver.com and on the Kroger website itself.
- New Cellfire coupons are available every two weeks. They expire after six weeks.
- Shortcuts are available less often, but also expire after six weeks.
- PG ecoupons are available once every three months.
- Kroger ecoupons are available randomly (there are usually new ones each week) and expire randomly.
- Ecoupons loaded on your card from cellfire, shortcuts or pg cannot be removed from your card--they must expire or be used. LOAD ECOUPONS ONTO YOUR CARD FROM THE KROGER WEBSITE FIRST, THEN LOAD COUPONS FROM THE OTHER THREE SITES.
- You can delete ecoupons that have been loaded from Kroger’s website.
- If you have more than one ecoupon for the same item you do not get to pick which ecoupon comes off (sometimes there are coupons for different amounts on your card at the same time).
