Huntsville Museum of Art: Drop In & Create Saturdays


Visit the Huntsville Museum of Art on select Saturdays from 10:00-12:00 with your children and create artwork to take home.  Museum admission is free!

May 21*: Birds of a FeatherMake a collage bird in a nest using patterned paper, feather fluffs, 3-D elements and wiggly eyes. Explore the feathered friends in the Buccellati: A Silver Menagerie exhibition.
June 18*: Rockin’ RocketsCraft your own star-spangled rocket! Use folded paper, ribbon, and stickers to make a hanging Independence Day sculpture.
July 16: FUN in the Sun!Create a fun summer scene using printmaking techniques and drawing.
August 20: Imaginary Inkblot CreaturesUse your imagination to transform a blob of ink into a one-of-kind animal, monster or alien.
September 17: FABULOUS Fall TreesLearn about the artwork in the An American Romantic: The Art of Luigi Lucioni exhibition. Produce your own fall tree with falling leaves using art tissue papers and other elements for embellishment.
