Here are a few free events happening around North Alabama this weekend:

Madison Health & Wellness Fair at Hogan YMCA Saturday 9:00-12:00:

"Madison's first Health & Wellness Fair is presented by the Hogan Family YMCA and will feature a health expo, Cooking School, children's activities, door prizes, free group exercise classes, blood drive, and free health screenings including: Cholesterol, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Heart Rate & Cardiac Risk Assessment by Huntsville Hospital; Bone Density, Sleep Apnea, Breast Health, and Vein Screenings by Crestwood Medical Center; and an Eye Health Assessment by The Eye Center. The public is welcome!"

Spring Into Summer Activities Fair at SciQuest Saturday 9:00-5:00:

"The Arts Council will present the annual Spring Into Summer Activity Fair at Sci-Quest, Hands on Science Center Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9:00am until 5:00pm. This free event will provide parents with everything they need to know about local spring break and summer programs for children of all ages that focus on science, culture and the ARTS! Whether your children are looking for dance or film, theater or music, visual art or photography, history or science experiments, or maybe a little bit of everything, the Spring Into Summer Activity Fair will help you find it. Participating organizations will be on-hand to answer questions, hand out materials, and introduce children to their programs. Live music, stage performances, children's activities and more will make this event one the whole family will enjoy."

Nature Explore Families’ Club- What Can You See in a Cloud? at Hays Nature Preserve Saturday from 10:00-11:00

Free Family Concert- explORCHESTRA. Explore. Your. Orchestra at VBC Saturday 11:00-12:00:

"Free Family Concert this Saturday sponsored by the Painted Violin Society and Damson Automotive Group. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 11a.m. in the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall. FREE family activities will begin in the lobby at 9:30 am including face painting, instrument petting zoo, scarf dancing."


The Easter Bunny wil be visit The Children's Place at Madison Square Mall and Regency Square Mall on Saturday from 12:00-4:00 pm. Receive a free pack of Peeps with any purchase (while supplies last).


Visit The Guitar Center on Saturday at 10:00 am for the first in a month-long series Introduction to GarageBand with a focus on Signal Flow and Microphone Techniques.  Registration required.


This Saturday from 9:00-12:00 kids ages 5-12 can build a race car at Home Depot's Kids' Workshop.
Sunday, March 3 join Williams Sonoma to "learn to make fresh and fabulous recipes that showcase the new season's bounty. We'll also discuss timesaving tips and products that will help you have a healthy dinner ready in less than 30 minutes."

Visit Lifeway Christian Stores this Saturday from 11:00-1:00 for Kids' Day: crafts, snacks, activities and a first look at VeggieTale's newest movie The Little House That Stood.


On Saturday from 1:00-3:00 there is a FREE Color Splash Jewelry Demonstration: Add a splash of color to your attire with a beaded necklace or bracelet at Michael's.

On Sunday from 1:00-3:00 there is a free Floral Arranging Show IN Tell: Join us March 3 as our Certified Floral Designers teach you how to create 3 different flower arrangements to accent your home d├ęcor.
